We prioritize a safe, supportive space to understand your needs and explore next steps together.
This complimentary consultation provides a safe space to discuss what you’re looking for in care, ask questions, and explore whether Mind & Microbiome Psychiatry may be a supportive next step for you. No treatment is provided during this visit; the purpose is simply to connect, clarify your goals, and determine alignment before moving forward.

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
Your first appointment is a collaborative space designed to understand you in depth—not as a collection of symptoms or diagnoses, but as a whole person shaped by lived experience, relationships, biology, and meaning.
Care is grounded in trauma-informed, integrative psychiatry that considers the connections between mind, body, and spirit, alongside the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health. Together, we explore the patterns and underlying contributors shaping your current experience, with attention to both present concerns and the broader context in which they arise.
Psychotherapy is central to this work. From the outset, we engage in meaningful therapeutic exploration focused on insight, emotional regulation, and lasting change. Attention is given to emotional, relational, and developmental patterns that often lie beneath surface symptoms.
Medication is considered only when clinically appropriate and is approached with care, intention, and collaboration. It is never the focus of treatment, but one potential support within a broader, individualized plan guided by your goals and values.
When helpful, care may be coordinated with your existing therapist, with your consent, to support continuity and integration.
Trauma-Informed, Nervous System–Aware Care
Many symptoms reflect patterns of nervous system adaptation to stress and lived experience. Care is oriented toward understanding these patterns with clarity and compassion, supporting greater regulation, steadiness, and resilience over time.

Psychotherapy and Ongoing Follow-Up Care
Your 45-minute follow-up appointments provide space for ongoing, in-depth continuity of care. Each session integrates psychotherapy, reflection on current concerns and progress, support for emotional and nervous system regulation, and medication management when clinically appropriate. Care is collaborative and guided by your goals, values, and overall treatment plan.
Psychotherapy is a central focus of ongoing care. Sessions emphasize emotional regulation, insight, relational patterns, and meaning-making, supporting change that unfolds steadily over time rather than through symptom-focused or rushed intervention.
Care is provided within a trauma-informed, integrative psychiatric framework that recognizes the connections between mind, body, and spirit, as well as the biological, psychological, and social factors that shape mental health. This includes attention to how the nervous system responds to stress, how relational and attachment patterns develop over time, and how lived experience influences emotional and physical well-being.
Sessions are designed to support deeper understanding—not only of what you are experiencing, but of the patterns and processes underlying it. This may include exploration of stress physiology, developmental and attachment experiences, trauma, and periods of prolonged emotional strain.
Medication is considered thoughtfully and intentionally, and never as the sole focus of care. When used, it is integrated within a broader therapeutic process aimed at clarity, integration, and long-term resilience.
